Senior HR Manager | Part-Time | Berlin, DE or Elst, NL Based

Berlin
Part-time
Permanent employee

Your Mission

We are looking for a Senior HR Manager to lead our people function across two main locations: Berlin and Elst in the Netherlands.
The role is part-time, three days a week, and reports directly to the CEO. You will lead a team of three: a talent acquisition specialist and an HR manager based in Berlin, and an HR administrator in Elst.
The scope is broad, running from operational HR delivery and payroll through to talent acquisition and culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing day-to-day people matters, implementing HR projects and managing employee relation issues, to meet HR targets.
  • Managing payroll and HR administration across both locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local requirements in Germany and the Netherlands.
  • Maintaining and developing HR policies and practices, ensuring they are fit for a dynamic, growing and international organisation.
  • Leading the relationship with the works council in the Netherlands, managing consultation processes and day-to-day engagement in line with legal obligations.
  • Managing HR compliance and employee relations globally, with a focus on Germany, NL and the US, with a clear understanding of the differences between jurisdictions and how to navigate them.
  • Line managing and developing the three-person HR team, providing clear direction and maintaining consistent standards across two locations.
  • Overseeing talent acquisition activity, working with the in-house talent acquisition specialist to deliver hiring at the right pace and to the right standard.
  • Supporting the ongoing integration of the business and contributing to the development of a coherent culture globally.
  • Partnering directly with the management team on people issues as they arise, providing clear and considered advice.

Your Profile

  • An experienced HR generalist with a track record spanning the full range from operational delivery to business partnering, with a stronger emphasis on operational delivery.
  • Direct experience of the Dutch works council system and a solid grounding in European employee relations more broadly. You understand the differences between jurisdictions and manage them with confidence.
  • A background in a PE-backed or commercially driven environment is advantageous. You understand what it means to operate at pace in a performance-focused context with finite resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sound commercial judgement. You are credible at both the operational and strategic level and are comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, Dutch, and German. All three are in regular use across the business and all three are required for this role.
